COURSE LEADER: MA CREATIVE DANCE EDUCATION
An exciting opportunity to take on the leadership of this brand new postgraduate course at London Contemporary Dance School (LCDS).
JOB OVERVIEW
The MA Creative Dance Education is a globally-oriented postgraduate programme that prepares artists, educators and facilitators to work across a wide range of dance education contexts. The course brings together creative practice, pedagogy and critical inquiry, supporting students to develop inclusive, responsive and forward-thinking approaches to teaching and learning.
With a strong emphasis on curriculum design, participatory practice and real-world application, the programme includes placement-based learning and engagement with diverse communities, enabling students to situate their work within contemporary social, cultural and educational contexts.
The Course Leader provides academic leadership and operational oversight for the MA Creative Dance Education programme. This role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of a high-quality, inclusive and forward-facing postgraduate experience that reflects sector developments across dance, education and creative practice.
The Course Leader leads on curriculum development, student experience, academic standards and team coordination, ensuring the programme aligns with institutional priorities and prepares graduates for diverse careers across dance education contexts globally.

SALARY & CONTRACT TERMS
SALARY
The full-time equivalent salary for this position is £47,329 per annum, equating to £37,863 per annum for this part-time role.
Salaries are reviewed in August each year when any cost-of-living increases are made. No salary changes are made until after successful completion of a probationary period.
CONTRACT TERMS
This is a 12-month, fixed-term permanent contract starting on 04 August 2026 and ending 31 July 2027. This is a part-time position (equivalent to 32 hours per week). These hours are inclusive of a one-hour paid lunch break each day. Your hours of work will be agreed with the line manager.
Whilst in the probationary period the notice period will be two weeks. Once this period is successfully completed the post holder will be confirmed in the post and the notice period will be one academic term.
