FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Our traineeship contracts will typically last for 12 months.

  • Applicants must 18 years old or above.

  • There is no maximum age limit, however these traineeships are aimed at those starting their career journeys, rather than those whose careers are more established.

  • We can only offer one traineeship in each area at a given time. Currently, this means that we have six trainees working with us at once.

    1. Traineeships give you access to specialised training, workshops and resources that can enhance your skills.
    2. With a traineeship at The Place, you will build valuable connections with professionals, mentors, and fellow trainees.
    3. Traineeships allow you to test different roles within your field to find the best fit for your skills and interests.
    4. A traineeship will also help you stand out to potential employers by having a strengthened CV.
  • Trainees will typically be contracted for 40 hours per week. This is inclusive of a one hour lunch break per day.

    Specific working hours will vary depending on the needs of the department in which a trainee works, as well as the needs of the trainee themself. Working hours will be agreed with a trainees line manager at the start of a contract.

  • Yes. Our trainees are paid a tax-free training bursary equivalent to the net amount earned by someone on the London Living Wage. This means for a 40 hour per week traineeship will be paid a bursary of £23,215 for a 12-month contract. This is paid in 12 monthly instalments.

  • Our trainees are hired through our partners at Creative Access and so all applications must be made through the Creative Access website. Current opportunities to apply will be posted on this page along with a link to the Creative Access application portal.
